I Have an Internal Alarm Clock: Day Four, Tuesday, February 21, 2012

Damn, that internal alarm clock is accurate. Settle down, relax, meditate, then peek at my watch and voila, twenty minutes have passed.I've noticed nothing extraordinary for the past couple of days, no expansion of patience, no unusual peaceful loving vibes towards strangers or family members. Just the drag down feeling that accompanies the beginning of a miserable cold. Maybe one thing: I drove past a group of about ten MEN (it's always men, right?) holding up signs that proclaimed the sanctity of life and demanding that Planned Parenthood be defunded. One man swung a sign to let me know Abortion is Murder. I resisted the urge to flip them off, although I kind of regret that, and just took great satisfaction in the sleety snowy weather. Have a great day, guys.

I'm traveling tomorrow and will bring my meditation practice to the mountains with me.
